Next Main Stage Concert:

Victor & Penny and the Loose Change Orchestra

Victor & Penny and the Loose Change Orchestra
Friday September 6, 7:30 p.m.
You're invited to close down the summer and kick off the 2019-20 season with Victor and Penny and the Loose Change Orchestra. These skilled musicians from Kansas City feature a unique "antique pop" sound featuring prohibition-era jazz and popular songs leavened with their own original compositions in the same style. A fiery ukulele and a red-hot jazz guitar put the jump, the dance, and the roll in early twentieth century rock and roll. The vocal duo of "Victor" (Jeff Fraling, guitar) and "Penny" (Erin McGrane, ukulele) are supported by James Isaac (clarinet) and Rick Willoughby (bass).

Next House Concert:

Ben Bedford

Ben Bedford
Thursay, September 12, 7:30 pm
5109 Foxglove Circle, Lincoln NE

The 2018 Kerrville New Folk winner, Ben Bedford has established himself as a songwriter in the tradition of musical icons ranging from Bill Morrissey to Woody Guthrie, casting individual people in the theater of the American landscape. A true son of the heartland, Bedford dips into the deep inkwell of classic American literature and writes with the 'old soul' quality of his literary idols, such as John Steinbeck and Toni Morrison. With five albums under his belt, his spyglass is sharp and undistorted and his playing exemplary.
Refreshments at 6:30 pm, concert at 7:30 pm. Reservations recommended: Call 515-664-7459 or e-mail. Suggested donation: $15
